Consider yourself fortunate if the mere mention of the name Ken Navarro brings to mind some spirited live performances as well as a number of very distinctive melodies. While his fine instrumental music can be heard regularly on local jazz station WLOQ and he plays in Central Florida at least once a year, his national notoriety doesn't nearly match his talent. Brighter Days is one of Ken's best. His penchant for smooth melodies remains, yet such pleasant surprises as the jazzy "One Step At A Time" with alto sax (Bobby Militello) and muted trumpet (Jeff Jarvis) or his moving version of Todd Rundgren's "Be Nice to Me" remind us that there's no pigeon-hole for Ken Navarro.
